CNBC review of NIO was pure misinformation and manipulation.
They tested 4 year old, 1st gen, NIO EC6 model, which NIO doesn't sell anymore, and while there is a 2nd gen car.
They tested 6 year old, 1st gen, battery Power Swap Station (only a few of 1st gen PSS exist) while currently, NIO is installing 4th gen PSS.

NIO uses LiDAR (light detection and ranging) in its vehicles to enhance safety for passengers and other road users. NIO's Aquila Super Sensing System includes a high-resolution LiDAR with a detection range of 500 meters, along with other sensing units such as cameras and millimeter-wave radars. NIO says that LiDAR is important for driving in heavy rain, when camera-based systems can fail and emergency braking functions can be less effective.

The assertion on the title of this video is ridiculous. You are comparing a company that is no longer an EV company, and maybe never was, to an entire country filled with companies who are loosing money and, according to most people, are only afloat because of subsidies and assistance from the government? That is ludicrous. Tesla is and always was a technology company that makes robots, some of them are transportation robots with four wheels. If I thought Tesla were an EV company I would sell my shares.

The main focus for markets now is Nvidia, which has powered a large chunk of the S&P 500’s recent earnings. Nvidia’s stock, up more than 90% this year, rose 2.5% in New York as of recent, sending the Nasdaq 100 index to another record high.
