The reason BYD is not in the US yet is not because the lack of infracture. BYD is reluctant because its success in the US may end up getting the "Huawei" treatment and being sanctioned to oblivion due to "national security" concern.

Every crash/collapse brings with it an equivalent market chance if you are early informed and equipped, I've seen folks amass up to $1m amid crisis, and even pull it off easily in a favorable economy. Unequivocally, the bubble/collapse is getting somebody somewhere rich

BYD's Yangwang U8 is on whole another level. It's way more expensive than the most expensive Tesla model. Yangwang U8 is basically a tank. it has 1100hp. it can make a u-turn on its own. it can drive in water.

BYD uses the blade battery technology not because it is cheap, but because it is safer.

“Made in China” no longer means “copycat” and “bad quality”. The times have changed. We need to stay up to date and not hang on to our prejudices.

Don't worry. We can just ban or sanction any company if they are too successful.

in my home country Kenya, BYD is already making inroads in the public transit system. They have more than doubled their sales in the last two years while developing charging infrastructure....with talks of setting up mass transit In the capital, I think BYD will be the best positioned entity to win supply contracts in east Africa's economic hub

I bought a BYD hybrid plugin SUV two months ago, it's awesome to drive. The gasoline is for charging the battery by the engine, not directly drive the car. 5L gasoline for 100km.It's smooth, luxurious with entertainment equipment.

is it a good time to buy stocks right now? How long will it take for us to recover? I know everyone claims that equities are now inexpensive. Although there are tactics to be applied in this market, the common person cannot access these strategies. Would I be better off investing my money somewhere else?

No wonder Charlie Munger said BYD was his best investment

Remember Tesla reducing its prices about a month ago? This is most likely due to the competition pressure from brands like byd
This is a necessity for us because it curbs the ability for these companies to keep raising prices unchecked
Hope the American EV market keeps getting more competitive

The world is changing fast, 20 years ago even just the idea of China having an automobile manufacturing industry would have been laughable, now it has the most cut throat and competitive one in the world with so many Chinese local brands just constantly fight for top spots.

Americans still don't know that there is a bigger world out there.
Chinese affordable products are aimed at developing countries. Which is 10x the American market.

If Tesla will have a problem with BYD just imagine companies like Ford, GM, Stellantis, BMW, Mercedes, and VW, difficulty facing the same

China is now world’s largest market for EVs as presented. It’s bigger than the rest of world combined. Then, all EV makers want to sell in China. Most Americans still live in the sentiment of “not buying Chinese”. The urgent need is actually to accelerate EV market in the US, not worrying about BYD.
