I'm old and my biggest failure was not saying I love you more often.

Jordan Peterson will be remembered in history as the Plato/Aristotle of our era.

I'm old & my biggest regrets have been the times that I tried to be for others what I needed to be for myself first.

Being in in-home healthcare for so long and being around, disabled and elderly for so long, the responses from disabled people that can’t physically move, and from elderly, were remotely, the same, and they both stated my biggest regret in life later in life was not learning how to experience and live life, my regret is just existing

Don't regret mistakes. Learn from them. Regret is pointless

I always remind my sons to Not be Afraid of Failure. With School, Girls, Friendships, Work....
If you're not Failing at something that means you're not Trying enough things. The Mark of a Man is Not Other Peoples View of you- Its How You get up & Keep getting up & you keep going.

Reminds me of the line the Coinbase founder says. “Action produces information.” So it’s actually better to take action sooner rather than later because even if you “fail” you’ll learn what you should do instead and just iterate.

Feels like story of my life. Things I read and learned and did always returned to me, sometimes 15 years later but always, and often in unexpected ways and means.

Yes, the salient point is if you stay open minded in the long term it produces some kind of result, just not what you had set out for originally

You only truly learn from mistakes when you understand why you failed.

The only regret I have in old age is that I didn't tell my brother what a no good loser he was.

You cannot have regrets. Everything in our lives are planned. We make the choices but we come ahead, especially through failures because that is what determines in the end, whom we have become.

On one hand, I see his point, but on the other there are gamblers and day traders who have dug themselves holes they will never get out of, so taking risks isn't always a good thing.

Have to take calculated risks where you know where you land if it fails, but the potential reward is worth it, and has a higher probability than failure.
