It doesn't matter if they're comparing to a handling focused car that's actually fast around a track, a car that can keep up the acceleration north of 120, a classic car, a car that's expensive because it's art on wheels, a car that doesn't need cooling after 3 launches. For these people any car is inferior than their Plaid and its 0-60. So basically a worst version of quarter mile enthusiasts.

I appreciate that you used the image of a Dutch highway at 9:58, one of the best countries for drivers because of their great infrastructure. There's this one video called "The Best Country in the World for Drivers" by Not Just Bikes, which goes much deeper into this. Long story short, their public transport is amazing, and it's faster to go somewhere in your town by bike or just walking rather than taking a car. Only people who actually drive there are the ones who want to and the ones who NEED to.
