This was quite comforting to hear honestly. I hadn't realized the signs but hekate has been with me throughout a lot of my life, once I did realize a couple years ago (maybe 2-3 years into my practice at that point) I started working with her immediately. Unfortunately though my life got really dark and really heavy for a really long time so I lost touch with my practice and with hekate. When I tell you I felt terrible about it it's seriously an understatement. I realize now after recently hearing her calls and reaching back out to her that maybe it was just a part of the journey she's been guiding me through. It makes me feel a lot less guilty having not spent dedicated time with her after hearing your story. Thank you 🖤✨

I like her association with dogs and other animals. My whole life I have loved dogs and horses, all animals really. Never owned a horse, but rode a few as I grew up. I have had many dogs, some cats as well. My first dog was a golden lab, pittie mix that was my nanny dog. I revere them more than humans. OK, not sure where I was going with this, but bravo to Hekate and her dogs.

Congratulations on your dedication! This video is timely for me because I also had been reading about Santa Muerte during the past week or so and considering working with her but was then hit with a reminder that just because I am drawn to a particular path or spirit, or I find it beautiful, does not mean it is right for me. I decided instead to really apply myself to working with the two deities who have been in my life for a while: Poseidon (almost a year now) and Odin (close to two decades, but there have been massive ups and downs during that time, similarly to your relationship with Hekate, and the past five years or so have been REALLY rocky). Well, the funny thing is that both of my deities have been very eager, for about the past year, for me to begin working with Hekate, and I've been doing a one step forward, two steps back dance with her during that time. So this was a nice kick in the ass for me. :)

So lovely. A dedication is so deeply personal so thank you for sharing part of your beautiful relationship with her. Your altar is really beautiful as well. It took me a lot of time before dedicating to Holda. Years! Partly because of my Catholic upbringing and partly because I was afraid of the commitment. She knew this and was patient with me, thankfully. You are so fortunate to work with a deity that so many others know. You have books. So many books have been written about her. Having to navigate working with a less popular deity has been challenging. Not much information about her out there. Not many have written about a relationship with her. It sometimes has me thinking about writing a book about having a relationship with her but then again It's kind of nice to just have her for myself. I will let her decide.
