I’m Taren S, a High Priestess, folk Witch, and lifelong practitioner of the magickal arts. This is awesome! I've wanted to connect with Hecate for some time, but I think I was approaching her wrong since I was getting nothing. Something about her called to me, but I was thinking she's very solemn and serious (which is the opposite of my own nature) and I've been intimidated and maybe a bit closed off. But you mentioning that she's a VERY approachable, raunchy, celebratory goddess who wants to share knowledge -- shining a light on dark places instead of just BEING the dark itself -- this really opened my eyes. I really enjoyed your video and perspective, thank you so much for sharing. I've had a relationship with Hecate for years and love learning about Her and how different people who Her. I was surprised to hear you say that the full moon was one of her days, as opposed to the dark moon. Since the full moon is such a potent magical day, it does make sense that it would belong to her (as all days do really...) and I've also always appreciated the idea of Hecate as a Goddess to be honored at the dark moon, connecting me to the ancient Greek rites as well

thank you for this information! ive been drawn to hecate for a little while now. Her associations with purple, keys and black dogs kind of seal that in for me. These are all things that have been significant in my life and it never made sense to why until now.

I always thought Hekate was most present during the dark moons, not the full moons 🤔, she is the dark goddess afterall, though she's present at all times.

I like your video and am always impressed with your thoughts. I'd like to offer a though for consideration based upon the position of your altar being in the corner in this video. which happens to align with how I position my own positioning.

1. Hekate is associated with the "Y" shaped crossroads as the major place of her influence. Some associated the "T" shaped crossroads with her due to the concept of the placement of the road and the entrance of the home but that is for a later discussion. Right now I want to focus upon the corner of the home and placement of the altar at that location. Using the corner a person creates the perfect "Y" shaped crossroads that also has all three domains associated with Hekate. Starting at the floor you have the central leg that rises to the ceiling with the two legs forming the legs of the "Y" forming the "Celestial" domain. Starting at the ceiling and moving downward you create the "cthonic" domain with that "Y" gateway at the floor. Using the ceiling and floor and moving inward with the walls forming the central "Y" you create the material or "Oceanic" domain. All three forming the "tree" that stands behind the altar of Hekate.

2. As your flame burns you create the true vision or self but you also create the shadow self and realm about you. It shows the solidity of the material world and illusion of the material world. Yet it also creates the falsehoods of the shadow realm and untruths that are revealed before your eyes. Being in the corner it also shows the truth and the reflection or mirror image as one is played against the other.

3. As one sits before the altar one sits in all the facets of Hekate's 5 aspects. You truly are at the crossroads. We tend to think there are 3 but in truth there are 5 faces to Hekate (my beliefs). We see the pathway laid directly before us. We see the pathway that lies to either side of us (the path not taken, the path we see the path we consider and debate) We see the pathway within us or centered upon us (what some might say is our internal spirit that Hekate molds and influences. Then there is the unseen face of Hekate that is behind us that touches our shadow and moves in the shadow. That is the face that moves through others, that pushes us, tests us, rises from the depths, descends from the celestial realm,

4. The corner is the liminal spot within the room. It's not a wall. It's not a opening. It doesn't truly being together, nor does it truly take apart. Things come into and things move away from it. It pulls energy to it and it pushes energy away from it. It pushes force down, and it pushes force up and it pushes force outward. Realistically it can be real or it can be false and an illusion before your view, serving no purpose other than to deceive you. Like Hekate it tests you ability to view your reality and determine if you can actually "see"

I dont know if its possible but when i made a big step towards hekate i was physically detoxed out of nowhere. My clue that it was beginning was a glob of white stuff hanging in the air night before. Sounds weird but dats what happened
