Peterson has changed, the question is: for better or for worse?
This video will also explain what cringe means at a sociological level.

The quote "You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain" has definitely rung true with JP. Jordan in the 2020s has become what his detractors in the 2010s thought he was.

This wind of change was certainly felt by me despite being so inexplicable. It amazes me how masterfully you have knit such a concrete narrative using such abstract elements as competence and cringe to describe this inexplicable phenomenon. More viewers to you!

I think we failed Jordan. Schizo post incoming.

The diference between his cool past self and his current cringe self imo is trauma, fear and stress. He got so much shit for his original opinions, from the culturally overrepresented far left that he swung right, then the right wing pundits sunk their claws in him, absolutely glazing him anytime he speaks, while the left, as they do, treated everything he said as nazi propaganda, hell i remember seeing Vaush react to a video from a JP lecture titled ''why Hitler was even more evil than you think'', and the whole time he tried to frame Peterson as a nazi, trying to shoehorn anything he said into the 'doghwhistle' category.

With that and his personal life challenges, its no wonder Peterson is so far gone, but i still see the old inspiring professor in him sometimes, when he speaks about topics that are far enough from politics, when he talks about religion for example, it genuenly warms my heart to see him so in his element, and as memed as they are i think his talks on this topic are absolute gold.

I think deep down he realises this, hes with the right as a matter of emotional safety, for validation and support, not a pursuit of truth, then he can afford to venture out into interesting topics like religion and genuenly act like a philosopher there. You can see his tone and body language shift depending on the topic, with religion hes always paying ateintion, honest, he hedges his statements consistently, always saying what he thinks things ''kind of'' are, knowing that hes delving into infinitely deep topics, and having the humbleness to treat them as such, he knows he doesnt know everything.

But then you see him flip to politics and its all absolutes, the left is ANTI HUMAN and EVIL and LUCIFERIAN, hell he fucking sounds like Vaush and every other breadtuber, calling anything he dislikes anti human and fundamentally evil. My biggest loss of respect for Peterson was his video on ''Trumps Xmen'' seeing him, who usually gives incredibly good personal advice, talk about Trump like hes the most admirable and morally upright man, doing the cringe rightoid thing of saying ''well Trump is imperfect, hes low in politeness, but we love him for it!'' i fucking died when he said ''Trump scores very low in the politeness score, wich is usually a psychopath's trait, but he actually scores very high in the compassion trait, wich negates the possibility'' and then the fucking moron went on to show Trump kneeling to talk to a child, surrounded by the press, in the most stereotypical politician PR move, and he went on to explain how that shows Trump has a heart of gold, stopping all his plans to talk to a little kid.

I highly encourage anyone who reads this to look at that video, its in his channel, you can see how he has to force himself to act, he starts doing his own mannerisms in an exagerated and forced way, he sounds like a parody of himself because those mannerisms and tone arent genuine.

I see Jordan as a disgraced family member, that uncle that lost his job and fell into alchoholism, but still has the same good qualities hidden in him, were all you can do is be kind to him and offer constructive pushback, while making it clear that you dont intend to hurt him and you mean well. Not treat him like a god because hes too unstable to be reasoned with, nor scorn him because he has fucked up and gotten worse. I see all he does wrong, and it genuenly disgusts me, its pathetic, but i still admire him and i still love him.

My biggest dream when it comes to Jordan Peterson would be if someone managed to get in a podcast with him and genuenly criticise him, but making it so clear and incontrovertible that they mean well and are being honest and loving that he doesnt have an excuse to get defensive and shut down. I feel like very deep down he wants that, something better than the glazing from the right and the hatred from the left, if a big enough figure asked him i think he could do it, even if the folks at the daily wire dont want him to, if he feels like refusing such a talk would go against his stated ideals of looking for truth and hard conversation then he will do it because his ego depends on it, and because deep down he wants such healthy confrontation.

This is all a huge ramble, but hopefully you at least understood the feeling behind my points, and hopefully this makes Jordans redemption more plausible.

JBP has become unhinged. Very unhinged. He's angry and out for revenge. And making big cash while doing so.

Question remains – are we consumers or consumables? There are politically active people on both sides who are trapped in reactionary ring. If one side does something, other side tries to do opposite just to not get confused with them. This is why I like the idea in geopolitics that countries has mindset and people are prisoners of geography. Free will is limited. You can manoeuvre in certain cage. In grander schemes rules of physics might not work if there would absolute free will?

James Lindsay has gone full Peterson. He might be a good case study for your series

Writing "Inompetence" instead of "Incompetence" is cringe 😢

I’d work on articulating this stuff—at first you sounded like you were boiling it down to power in the way *some* followers of Marx boil all of reality down to “muh dialectic materialism.” Then I listened on and found great insight overall. First impressions stick really hard though so don’t shoot your self in the foot.
