I hope JP sees this and takes you up on your offer. As someone who really took what he said to heart when my life was really in a bad place, i have imporved my life drastically in part due to him. It hurts to see him fall to the level of baseless gaslighging and name calling. His daughters tweets were just so childish. When you will debate/talk to, communists, marxists, zionists, leftists, cucks, muslim jihadists, atheists, but not a Christian nationalist, it shows there is a deeper reason at play here.

Candace, I don’t usually comment on videos but I wanted to clarify re. the apple cider thing. I think he may have elaborated on this in the Joe Rogan video, but it wasn’t the apple cider itself that made him sick. It was the added sulfites. If you’re not familiar, sulfites (not sulfates) are a type of sulfur-derived food preservative often added to perishable foods. They’re commonly found in wine, apple cider, grape juice, and other products. Some people, especially those with autoimmune issues, are extremely sensitive to these chemicals. I am one of them. I can’t have even a sip of wine without getting violently ill with a migraine and vomiting. And yes, it’s the sulfites, not the wine. I have the same reaction to dried fruit, grapes, condiments with potassium metabisulfite, and, yes, most brands of apple cider. Sharing this to clear up the misunderstanding, and also to possibly help anyone who is reading this who struggles with migraines, IBS, and/or chronic fatigue. Look into it!

Considering what he had to deal with not only with his wife fighting cancer but, his battle with the Canadian government trying to censor and imprison him for his lectures and speeches, I'm amazed he has made it without doing something worse.

I am not American, so perhaps I don't understand the culture. I am, however, a follower of Christ. And just because someone is flawed, does not mean that they aren't worth listening to. Discounting a persons strengths based on their weaknesses seems so hypocritical to me, because aren't we all flawed and fall short? God can use broken people. I am grateful for people like JP, I think the impact he made on modern men (and women) has been critical. Do I think he is right about everything? Of course not, but neither am I. I'm just glad I am not in the limelight when I have a lapse in judgement.

I’ve been a caretaker for people suffering withdrawal from pharmaceutical anti anxiety medicine. It was the worst thing I have ever witnessed. It is absolute hell for them. I have full compassion for Dr Peterson.

Sometimes we are hypocrites with what we say and then what we do. That makes us human. Jordan is only human. Christ is King.

A long time follower of you and jordan. clinician here. A few issues with your perspective

1. He did speak about benzo dependency which his PRESCRIBER is responsible for managing
2. Benzos are standard management for anxiety, depression and insomnia
3. Your views actually are stigmatizing mental health issues
4. He has spoken of a biological predisposition to depression. Your harsh judgement of addiction is harmful as there are multiple reasons why a person who undergoes trauma/hardship becomes dependent on substances/meds and others do not. This includes genetic variation in biological physiology among others
5. It is very common for people to hav light sleep but feel as if they have not slept
6. He is human and makes mistakes. Leave space for some grace as im sure you would want done to you

People have a right to keep some things private. You don't have to share every little damn thing. We would probably be a lot healthier as a whole if we didn't share every little detail of our lives. As a woman and someone who lost their husband of cancer, that was a very dark and incredibly sad time in my life. Of course, Peterson is depressed by the fact he is yet again a care taker for his wife and the fact that this horrible cancer may take her life. So lay off of Peterson. He's one of the great ones despite ALL he has and is enduring. 🙏

Lately I’ve found that there’s quite a bit of self-righteousness in these videos and this episode is a perfect example. Candace, you certainly know what it’s like to be constantly judged and taken out of context. As a fellow Christian, I would advise you to have some grace. Nobody is above criticism, not even JP, but you speak so self-righteously about things you may have never experienced, failing to consider that sometimes people find themselves struggling with the human condition, particularly in relation to seeing a loved one suffer with their health. As someone who lost both parents to cancer, which drove me to a deep depression and eating disorder that lasted for years, I cannot help but find your approach to JP unkind and sensationalist. I never envisioned the challenges I would face and where it would lead me and that is part of being human and it should not warrant unkindness - like this video did.

I’m a single mom in her 50s, following a horrible accident, I listened to him and he saved me from serious despair, he helped me so much.
It’s not ok to focus only on sensational details. Benzos are common, most women have them in their purse. His wife had a deadly cancer, he had anxiety and was prescribed.
I follow him closely since way before Covid, and I don’t like how you omit tons of details just to paint an ugly image of him.
