Love this! I'm 22 and i've had diabetes type 1 for 15 years now and yoga actually helps me to keep my blood sugar levels in a good balance, just because it helps me to reduce my stress levels. Stress=higher blood sugar levels, at least for me. I don't understand how people can be so bitter. For those of you who commented negative stuff, Adriene didn't say anything about "curing diabetes". This flow is to help u keeping your blood sugar levels, and your body in balance, and you don't have to be Einstein to understand that yoga can't cure diabetes. Or any other autoimmune disease.

Adriene, I was diagnosed with Diabetes this week. I am over the shock, and taking actions to improve my health. You are my fitness hero, so I searched for Yoga for Diabetes, and was not surprised that you made one. I am grateful to you as always. Namaste

Just came across this one. Been doing yoga for over 3 years, along with daily walks, to keep my A1c at a good range. Was terribly out of shape 3 years ago but my health has steadily improved and I am 61. Can't believe that I just actually did the plow pose!! Twice!! Thank you so much Adriene. ♥️♥️

I’m a type 1 diabetic and have been for 27 years, and I enjoyed this flow. Lengthening muscles, isometric movements and flexibility improvement are good for *any* body. Understand that yoga is not a cure, but a tool that can be used in partnership with conventional medicine. Enjoy the relaxation and just be happy you moved your body today. Don’t assume that Adrienne is inferring something else from this title, surely you are wise enough to deduce that my friends!

I remember when this video came out, can't believe it's been 5 years :). This was really nice, just the right level of intensity for me today. Didn't have the courage for a full plough today, but I rocked around a little and played around with a shoulder stand :)

When you got to the plow pose I thought, "Well, that's not happening!" and appreciated your comment about working towards it. But I followed along anyway and wonder of wonders, I was successful! So very exciting, I couldn't stop smiling. Made this 61 year old's day!! Thank you Adriene!

I have been doing yoga with Adriene for more than a year now...and it just occurred to me she might have a video for diabetes. I have type 1 diabetes and I've found this video great! I already saved it in my favourites. Thank you Adriene!

This video was posted with EVERYone in mind - as are all Adriene's videos. I'm not a Dancer, Teacher, Truck-driver (some other titles of these videos) - or Diabetic - but was still able to join in, and enjoy its unique content. It was a gentle, grounding practice, that wasn't going to send anyone's blood-sugar levels catastrophically low or high. Doesn't this demonstrate the all-inclusive nature of yoga practice? And yes, yoga can be practiced by people with cancer, or heart disease, or arthritis...and so much more. Adriene isn't setting out to "cure" anyone of a pre-existing medical condition - she's purely making the practice of yoga, accessible to ALL. How amazing X

At my cousins' after a long drive of 500+ miles yesterday. First long drive I have made in a decade so as you can imagine, I am quite stiff, especially in the right hamstring and neck. This sequence felt good even if I could not manage my feet to the floor in plow. Gastritis has made many poses more difficult the last year or so, the long drive notwithstanding.
Intuit day 13. 1043 days.
