Bitlocker suddenly locked my Windows laptop computer!!! How to remove encryption in minutes!

Has Bitlocker suddenly appeared on your laptop computer even though you don't se it and have never knowingly set it up on your machine and crashed with some sort of garbled encryption message???
Here's how to remove it in minutes! Restart the system*
At the Dell Logo keep tapping F2 (or the correct key for your PC, might be DEL or ESC)*
You will enter the BIOS screen*
Go to Secure Boot header, expand and select Expert Key Management*
Click the Restore Settings button*
Select Factory Settings*
Press OK*
Exit the BIOS and restart

You might also want to try and find the key in your MS account.
Log into your MS account and go to Devices, see if you have a key assigned, some hardware manufacturers turn on the feature when you update the bios.

It has worked! I have a DELL pc with the same problem, I just had to do a factory reset Expert key management and restart the computer. This part is at minute 2:12 of the video!

How about going to Microsoft and getting your bitlocker key and plugging it in.

I had secure boot on and BitLocker wasnt showing me that screen but i disabled secure boot and it showed the blue screen of BitLocker (i disabled secure boot so this wont happen)

I tried this method but once it restarts it just takes me back to the bitlocker recovery screen. Is there any other method I could use?

Mine did this and I’m currently trying to erase and reload everything. It’s called reset and update, choosing the option that doesn’t require bitlocker

Hello, thank you for sharing your solution. I have the same problem, but my BIOS shows different options. Under Expert key management I have : PK KEK dB dbx, each with different sub-options. One of those sub-options is "Reset All Keys" (under PK) do you know if that's what I should choose?
