Once the BitLocker recovery key is generated, you should save it to your partition drive or SSD immediately. It can be used to unlock your encrypted drive if you forget or lose your BitLocker passwords.

How to find out your Windows OS drive in the Windows Recovery Environment?
diskpart
list volume
or
bcdedit

Open the command prompt window and Run As Administrator
Type the following commands:
manage-bde -unlock D: -rp (BitLocker recovery key)
manage-bde -off D:
manage-bde -status D:
Note: D is the bootable drive letter in this case.

It worked for me. My laptop is from HP but I bought it with Win11 built in, plus my disk blocked. I didn’t knew it until I tried to install Win10. Installation window was saying that my disk was inaccessible or something like that, I wasn’t able to do anything with it. Before finding this video I saved the recovery key from control panel (totally by accident😂), because that was the only thing appearing in there when typing BitLocker. Then in bios in boot menu I disabled "secured boot" and cleared all the keys. Then I miraculously found this video and took the instructions in this video and then proceeded to Windows installation again and boom worked smooth like butter on a pan. Big thank you. (2022)
