How to fix 'CPU Fan not detected' errors and warnings

In this video I'm talking about what to do if you've built a PC but then you can't install Windows or you can't boot your machine because of a warning about the CPU fan speed not being detected.
This is often a simple fix luckily. If you've installed an all-in-one CPU cooler, then chances are you connected the pump head to the AIO pump header on the motherboard. This leaves the CPU Fan header empty, which some motherboards don't appreciate! So the solution is either:

1 - unplug the AIO pump cable and connect it to the CPU fan header instead
2 - head into your BIOS settings and set the CPU fan monitor to "ignore"

Either of these options will work and should solve your problem.

THIS was EXACTLY what I was looking for! I just built a new PC with this AiO and got that error message! Really silly and strange that MB's theese days can't understand when an AiO is connected to the pump header and then disable the need of something plugged into the CPU-fan...

Hi! Im having an issue where i plugged my aio onto the aio pump header and the fans onto the motherboards fan header, but the fans on both the pump and the ones connected underneath the radiator arent spinning at all. Even the rgb colors arent turning on even though its plugged into the rgb header as well

I have this happen with the Corsair h100i and every blue moon or so my motherboard doesnt detect it and give me cpu error. Turn of psu and reboot a few times and works lol what?

Welp here is something that might work that helped me. Not sure what setting I hit, but I did something. Anyway to fix the problem for me. When in the bios and you see the cpu fan, it should show it kick on for a couple seconds than turn off. You just hit f10 when the fan shows its on. That is if you manage to see the fan kick on and off in the bios. (Witch I’m assuming you will see it if your fan isn’t the problem) If it’s not running at all than idk
