"Grander mako"? Yeah, sorry to burst your bubble, Discovery, but making up a name for a shark species that you think sounds "cooler" than the actual one doesn't actually make that a real thing. This shark is a shortfin mako, Isurus oxyrinchus, also called a blue pointer or a bonito shark; what it is not called is a "grander mako".

Those things are fuckin fast, once we was fishing on the boat, we was trolling, and half our fish was gone, my father said a mako shark did it, also we had a run in with a cookie cutter shark, it made a hole in our fish
