In San Francisco on Pier 39 there is a aquatic petting zoo and small aquarium where they actually allowed people to interact with various sea creatures in a very shallow tank. The most unforgettable one of these creatures was a Dogfish, which looks exactly like a tiny little shark with light brown spotted coloring about 20 inches long, as playful and affectionate as a toy poodle puppy dog! I am not exaggerating, that dogfish absolutely loved to be petted, tickled and played with! And even though it looked exactly like a tiny little shark with light brown spotted coloring about 20 inches long and as playful and affectionate it was so sweet that you could almost imagine it was smiling and giggling. I'm guessing this is probably where it got its name as Dogfish since it is like a cute little puppy dog in temperament. An amazing memory and experience
