1954, all serial numbers, stamped and etched must be matching. Not forced and no XXXX over serial numbers.

I forgot to mention the stamped serial numbers on the bolt and it should be shiny and bright to match the carrier.

Perfect and to the point. I have the twin of your SKS. Only thing different being the serial number. All the serial numbers are the same, including the stock. I paid $500 for mine in 2022. I think an SKS that’s not been arsenal refinished is fairly rare.

Just grabbed one of those. Identical. I love those guns.

Nice SKS! My 53 Izhevsk appears unissued. It's extremely beautiful.

Just curious. Does vibro-etching always indicate refurb? I can't seem to find any refurb marks anywhere (unless they've worn off, possible), but my whole bolt assembly down to the firing pin has been vibro-etched. I kinda see the pin being hand-marked as standard because I'd imagine that'd be somewhat hard to stamp, Lol. Either way, I love my battered Russian sneak <3

That's a nice rifle. How much do they go for over regular Russians? 600 Canadian?

So if it has refurb mark it is automatically re-issed?
