It should come out on it's own when the uterus contract. It takes 15 min or an hour .. if it took too long then they do it manually.

this video is very misguiding, placenta is not removed like this !!! It's done throug pull and manual thrust done from outside the vagina by holding the umbilical cord.

I just had my baby 8 weeks ago and they do not do this anymore, not unless they have too. After you delivery the baby the placenta naturally detaches from the uterus wall. All they do is pull the cord and it comes out. The baby coming out hurt more than the placenta.
