It's time to end the stigma that exists about autism and dating. Spread the message; love is not exclusive to those who are "abled".

Here's an interesting little tidbit about Aspie relationships: in many cases, successful Aspie relationships involve someone from a different country or culture. When someone is from a different culture, their differences are often treated more favorably. Differences are attributed to the fact that they're from a different culture and the increased tolerance makes it easier to progress in a relationship.

Wow, you made some awesome awareness points there!
I've only just recently come across your channel and I think the videos you put on YouTube make many people much more aware about autism and what it's like to have autism and equally breaking myths about what autism isn't like. You're doing a fab job and thank you!

It depends on the person, not the autism. I dated a guy who is autistic and he was super caring and such.

You remind me of Hugh Jackman, Harrison Ford and the new Superman actor.

I think this is primarily because women traditionally do not have to initiate and lead in relationships whereas men do, which of course would be very challenging for someone with autism. You might think well then why are there so many articles and books aimed at helping men with autism/aspergers who are in relationships? Well one small thing I've noticed is that many men who supposedly have autism and are in relationships or are married usually mention how they were diagnosed late in life (i.e. middle age etc.), whereas whenever I'd read articles or seen YouTube videos of autistic men who state how they struggle to even form relationships in contrast often state how they were diagnosed with the condition during childhood. What do I mean by this? As controversial as this might sound, but I honestly think autism/aspergers is over-diagnosed and more often than not misdiagnosed and those who are diagnosed early in life more likely the ones who truly have the condition because symptoms would be evident enough when one is a child.

You say it's genetic which is confusing since some families don't have autism in their family then a child is born with autism. I don't understand how that happens.
