I would like for minecraft to have more immersion, ambient sounds & wolves actually eating their prey

alternatively, a constant threat for the mid to endgame, I enjoy "Lurker" mods because they provide that challenge to me

Minecraft is set in a post-apocalyptic world that's growing back, so the music is a really good fit I think.

Sidenote, I have a theory: so zombies look like Steve, except there are villager zombies too. Only the latter can be cured. So at the very least they're different races, arguably different species. I think the "Steve" race had a huge war, and it was very violent and all-consuming. So much so, that even after death, soldiers rise from the dead, as zombies or skeletons, to fight again. The reason villager zombies can be cured is because they don't truly share this hatred, they were just infected.

Also, we've seen that creeper anatomy canonically includes a TNT block inside them, and in the movie they're made of grass. So I think they're bombs/IEDs that were buried around the land, and have also risen because of the hatred and violence of their creators. They only attack Steve because killing those in the "Steve" race was what they were made for.

Maybe the war was between villagers and Steves? And villagers won. Maybe Steve is a defector, or zombies have seen him working with villagers, trading etc, so word spreads he's on their side, and that's why zombies attack Steve and villagers.

Spiders are a bit hard to fit into this. Maybe spiders are just natural nocturnal predators. Maybe they fed on bugs who fed on remains of the soldiers, transferring the hate. Maybe spiders are directly the remains? Based on spider jockeys, what if they were bred for battle, to scale walls and such?
