Scotty used my car for this review. Imagine my surprise when he didn't bash the cvt. I went in fully expecting a harsher review. I just wanted a cool time capsule for myself and thought it might help other shoppers. I'm still only a month in, but have zero doubt that I made the right purchase. Thanks for creating a cool memory, Scotty.

I'm on my third Subaru, a 2024 Outback Limited that I bought for my wife. All the benefits of a Subaru and now with a lot of high-end appointments that make it feel more like a luxury car. Also, , in line with what Scotty says, the new CVT is worlds better than the one in my 2012 Outback. Doesn't feel like a CVT at all and great acceleration from the 182 HP normally aspirate boxer engine.

I have a 2021 Subaru Outback, my first Subaru. I've owned many different makes and models the last 45 years. I would not trade this Subaru for anything else on the market. This car is simply amazing, I get great fuel economy, I can go places that jeeps can't and I have a lot of space for hauling. Not to mention, Subaru has the highest safety rating. Yeah, gotta love the Subarus.

I had a 1999 Outback wagon and it was hands down the best car I ever owned. Drove it for 9 years and sold it for 2K over KBB because it was in mint condition. Never had a single problem with it. Regret selling it to this day. Handled great and that AWD is the only way to go even if you're not in snow country because it is so stable on wet roads.

I've been driving Subaru's for 24 years now. Took one for a test drive back in 2000 and that was that. An as someone that lives in an area where the nearest auto shop where you could get a flat fixed outside of normal business hours may be 100+ miles away I appreciate a full size spare.

Have a base model 2017 Forester 2.5i CVT, 110, 000 plus miles. Love it.

It was hard for me to do as a lifetime Toyota guy, but, i had to pass on the Rav4 and opted for the 2024 Crosstrek Wilderness. Its just flat out a better car. And the Toyota awd on them is some type of a freak show. Already, shockingly been marching right past RAV4s stuck. So i went with the king of awd.
My 1st Subaru here too.
I've had mine since early October. Daily driver and made several off road videos on it as well. Its actually a dream off paved roads and thus far, actually exceeding my expectations.
For me, it was a great decision.
Again, bitter sweet as im a Toyota guy. But wise spent money is always a good thing. And I saved a ton buying this as well.

We've got a 2018 with 20K. The car is great on the highway and we get around 32 to 35. In town, it gets 25 to 27. All on regular gas. Been a great car. Easy to get out of for us old folks.

I'm 72 years old and never had a complaint about the USPS.
Consider this...
USPS: delivers an average of 421 million mail pieces each day
FedEx: delivers approximately 16 million pieces each day
UPS: delivers 20 million pieces a day

I just purchased a 2024 Forester Pemium in early December 2023. I really like the Forester. Quiet...very smooth ride....and great outward visibility due to the large windows. Looked at a I got many more options at a lesser price than the Rav4. Awesome vehicle.

I have the same exact Forester and it is great! So good in the snow, decent off road, lots of room, comfortable and reliable. Good gas mileage too. The higher ground clearance makes a difference in deep snow and off road. The X-drive works well. A great car. I have had Subarus for 40 years and this is the best one yet.

Why does Scotty have headlines that have nothing to do with whatever he talks about in the video?

My 2014 Impreza has never let me down! Just saving up to buy a cross trek which in my opinion is the best bang for your buck out there.

I recently purchased a 2023 Forester wilderness edition. Overall, I really like the car but the best I can say for the mush box transmission is that for a CVT it does not suck. Also, in my city driving I get about 18mpg. The best I got on a long x country is about 26. It does have 9.2" of ground clearance and handles well off road to the limited extent I have used it. It is pleasant to drive on long trips, has a good quality of road feel and handling.

I've been a fairly happy Subaru owner since 2003. Between my wife and me and our two daughters we've owned or own 6 Subaru vehicles (mostly Foresters) and will most likely continue to own Subaru vehicles in the future. They're also one of the few reasonably priced manufacturers that rate as high as the luxury brands from Consumer Reports. The only Subaru we weren't happy with was a 2008 Outback that gave us a lot of problems. It was one of the (if not the) first year they were built in the US as opposed to Japan.

You get better handling with a boxer engine because the center of gravity is lower. It's a flat engine that can be mounted lower, which can help with handling.
