What causes pain while lying down & sneezing in 14 weeks of pregnancy? - Dr. Suhasini Inamdar

During very early second trimester that is around 14 weeks if a lady is lying down on the side and getting pain when she is coughing or sneezing it can be just basically because of muscle pull. Another reason can be lot of gas because the motility of the bowel is known to reduce in pregnancy. So these are the only two conditions which may lead to pain when she is lying down on the side and trying to cough or sneeze. Other than that there should not be any issue. But it is always better that if it is not coming down she should go and visit an obstetrician.
