halfway through chapter 3 i’m having a lot of frame drops and stutters. other then that it was running so well and im still going to play because im addicted

They need to fix the unlocking randomly issue when locking on to bosses and enemies and also the camera will not rotate sometimes an gets stuck which happens in boss battle. So hopefully that gets fixed.

I just finished chapter one, spent a good 10 hours on the chapter...it already felt like the whole game for me.

The texture issues, lack of hdr, sharpness filter and fog, and no map is all that is holding this game back from being my favourite game of all time. But I am sure the devs will fix these over the next few months, and I am looking forward to it, though I am a bit annoyed that it didn’t launch with hdr in 2024.

Those who say it runs well is either unable to feel fps drops or have pretty low standards. It drops frames in boss battles that have many particles or fog effects, first fight for example it drops from 60 to 40 fps. Also the image quality is super blurry in Performance Mode (low resolution). If you sit far away from your TV you'll probably be fine, but if you are gaming on a desk with a gaming monitor your eyes will hurt of how bad it looks. I will never understand why some say it's fine when it is not.

I'm at chapter 2 at the moment and im gonna put the game down and play something else until a performance patch for the ps5 comes out

Are they going to optimize and fix performance issues on ps5 with this patch?

My only issue is when I fight the bear it keeps crashing. I had no crashing issues with any other boss. And I’ve tried fixing all the issues that apparently I’m supposed to fix on the PC and it still crashes.

I should have bought the game on PC for better performance. Although I prefer playing at a higher frame rate on PC, I also enjoy having a relaxed and chilled experience on the couch when playing single-player and PS exclusive games. The Performance mode has input latency, while the Balance mode frequently experiences frame drops starting from Chapter 3. I’m loving the game, but I think I'll pause for a while until there's a patch to fix these issues.

Chapter 3 is where I’m experiencing the most stutters, frame droppage and snags on ps5.

I think a lot of people are complaining about how it looks on their TV, if they don’t have their TV lined up with their Consol settings in sync then it’s going to look like crap like Dragon’s dogma 2 did for me in the very beginning until I fixed that issue, cuz these new high-tech TVs need to be paired with the console in the settings for both Appliances.

For example Dragon’s a Dogma to actually played it looked a lot better on my 1080 P television as opposed to my 4K television uneducated gamers might want to look into that and not just assumed that their tv’s or console is on the correct setting(s)
