I struggled for 4-5hrs to kill the Wandering Wight. I then went to beat the wolf so I could absorb his spirit, then went for my revenge, he abused me a couple more times but I finally killed him. Man was he an annoyance. I would have used your strat, but I beat the wight last night.

Learning and finally beating Wandering Wight completely changed my approach to this game. This boss taught me how unforgiving this game would be and taught me how to be patient, learn as much as I can, and utilize all tools possible. He prepared me for all future fights thus far. I’m actually grateful for him.

Jumping heavy attack flinches the guy. You can repeat it until he dies if you time it right. He staggers backward each time it hits. That is the absolute easiest way to cheese him.

I have the ps5 version and this does not work. I get him to stagger one time than before my next combo finishes he starts his attacks.

The best advice on YT. I could not kill this guy but once I reallocated my sparks to max out my stamina, boom. Much easier. I’d also suggest upgrading your armour so sprinting buffs your hits. Almost 5 hours I tried to kill this guy, but once I did the stamina max and the armour buff, I killed boss after boss in Chapter 1.

Man, just came here to say that was a solid strat....after getting my ass handed to me well over 30 mins, tried this and it was painful at how easy it was....except at the end instead of running away and dodging to get stam back, i just used the red tide spell and it finished him off. Thanks alot dude.

[Edit] this boss is completely optional! you can just run by and do the other stuff and come back later. Just do not hit all 3 bells before you defeat the wight or he will disappear for good and you will lose out on his transformation!
