When I saw this movie when it first came out, everybody was already in tears laughing up to this point....but when Barbara came out of nowhere, there was a collective gasp all through the theater! This is when I literally fell to the floor laughing so hard!!! To this day I'm laughing like it's the first time seeing it...

It would have a been a chuckle had another stewardess come and translated, but having Beaver's mom deliver the translation and walking away saying "Jive ass dude ain't got no brains anyhow" made this scene unforgettable 40 years later.

I'm actually old enough to have seen this movie when it originally came out. Well I had to sneak in to see it, but that's another story. I had never even heard of the word "jive" and I didn't understand a single word they said. Now, of course, everyone knows a little jive.
