Stop using aggressive attack!

I do this if I play a small country but when I have millions of manpower and an unstoppable German war machine I just battleplan

If you use space marines and maintenance + logistics companies with a good air force, go for it.

I only use aggressive when the front is practically empty and I need to get as far as possible until enemy reinforces.

I have over 5k hours in the game and about a month ago started using battle plans.
That lasted about 3 days .
I prefer micro managing and getting to know each army's capabilities. I like handing out medals and using those army's in familiar situations.
The terrain map is my best friend.

My biggest mistake usually is prioritizing advancing weaponry over creating mass amounts of divisions. Doesn’t matter if i micro or use battle plans, i always get out manned more times than not. I also vastly underestimate air power sometimes lol

They need to dramatically increase normal defense and also dramatically battle plan bonus. Military operations took months to plan

Everytime I try to breakthrough I end up getting encircled and having to retreat lol, only way I’ve ever gotten anywhere is with large front lines (I have a hundred hours logged in the game and still have no clue what I’m doing)

Also always remember, even when you're gonna mico, to create actual battle plan (that big arrow attack order), not just the front line. Otherwise you won't get planning bonus on your attack and that's essential especially when using grand battle plan doctrine

I agree, but sometimes when i fight against a weaker nation, like me Germany against Poland, its annoying to me that my soldiers sometimes do not attack a province even tho they can clearly win or the enemy has NO troops on the border yet they still won't move. So in this instance, going aggressive is better against weaker nations.

if you need to do all of that in singleplayer, you are not playing the game right just make a field marshal frontline set to aggressive or normal and attack towards the capital, and have your breakthrough divisions on standby to deploy to the weakest part of their front
