I’ve noticed that prepping ingredients (instead of meals) is also super helpful for people who get bored of eating the same meal.

people who say they can't eat leftovers don't know that restaurants technically do "meal preps" too. You don't really think they make every orders a la minute right?

Even if you can't handle eating the same thing every single day for a week, you could also try eating the same breakfast or same lunch (or both). I've found that I'm able to eat the same breakfast and lunch for a week without issue, but I can't also eat the same dinner, so dinner is where I plan my variety.

I love her videos but she seems so highly organized, driven and high-achieving that my head is spinning by the end. Like, when is she running for Congress?

Being creative with leftovers is key to meal prep for example make chiken rice and veggies on Monday and make a salad for Tuesday and add leftover chiken

I totally overspend on groceries and can't get a handle on meal prepping. Thanks for the great tips.

Groceries are my biggest area of overspend and I have just started to confront it. Thanks for the great video!

I cook in bulk but portion it off and freeze it so that I’m not eating the same thing in a stretch! I can mix it up with meals that were previously frozen.

I'm horrible at planning effectively but I really appreciate videos like yours because even when I can't follow your plan point for point I can take certain aspcts and implement them into my life. ✊🏽

I do batch cooking, too, but a lot of it is to make meal kits that offer variety. While a tuna casserole might yield four meals, some roasted chicken, three pounds of hamburger crumbles and some cleaned, pre-chopped vegetables offer creativity and flexibility, all while offering convenience. I always have something like mashed potatoes, a creamy pasta sauce, Mac n cheese, etc., sitting in the fridge, needing only to be rehydrated and warmed. I typically have options for six to eight complete meals.

For me the most difficult part of bulk cooking is finding revipes that freeze well. Would you mind sharing some of the recipes in your database? :)

I am a meal prepper. I live alone and only cook for myself, so I end up cooking recipes that give 6-8 servings and make a one different lunch and dinner recipe each week and eat the same thing every day. I was slowly building up my personal database of recipes until my laptop was stolen this week and I lost most of my recipes and notes. It's been a tough week and the loss of those recipes (the ones I didn't bookmark online) really hurt.

Great tips, thank you very much Tasha! I agree, leftovers are great, my mum used to cook like that for me when I was a child, now I am cooking for myself the same way.

I do eat leftovers but what I do is that I prep different ingredients, I put them separately and then through the week I use them in different dishes so I feel like I'm not eating the same every day (I save a lot of time and I repeat this at least two times per week). Plus to that, there are some things that I do eat every day, like soup or salads so I made a soup that will last for 2, 2 1/2 days then I eat it with my family and a salad that I can use for 1 1/2 day, maybe for a lunch and dinner and then again as part of my breakfast the next day. I also made things like quinoa for 3 or 4 days, then I can eat good quality cereals without dying in the way. There are tons of ways to eat good, for me, I can't eat the same every day, but hey, the best is what it works for you. :)

Why would someone not eat leftovers? This idea is completely new to me. I need answers.

These are some great tips and ideas! I agree a good portion of our income is spent on groceries. However, with meal planning and meal prep the cost can be reduced!
And, it also contributes to healthy eating which is a big plus!
Thank you for this helpful video👍🏼❤️

I feel like the way you buy food changes once you have kids and what not. I have a fily of 3, with a 4 month old, but for my house we only spend like 200-300 dollars when we actually go grocery shopping. We can hold off for a few months, I try to only buy food that will last (canned food, frozen food and refrigerated food that has a long shelf life). Anything above that makes my heart race since we have a lot of debt that is getting paid off
