I had a range rover for a while and had no problems really..except:
Air suspension compressor
Air suspension sensors
Gearbox
Parking brake discs
Starter motor
But yea apart from that it was totally fine...cant see the problem really, its thanks to my range rover I met a great mechanic..we are now on first name terms

Well then I guess my dad is lucky with his S-Class because the only thing he had to replace on there was the crankshaft position sensor and the battery. He did all of the replacements himself and the car is a survivor.

I owned a Jaguar X type 2.5 V6 AWD petrol for 5 years and had NO trouble with it at all. It was a brilliant car. I followed this with a Jaguar XJ V8 and had that for 10 years without a single fault in 73, 000 miles. FABULOUS!!

I went out with a woman briefly that owned a Range Rover sport--100k in 2005 and it was in the shop often and the check engine light was always on when I drove it.When it worked it was fantastic--but when you spend 100k--you do not want a car/suv in the shop all the time.

I've been a car dealer for 15 years or so, I'd have to say that list is pretty much dead on. The Jag Xtype is probably THE worst car ever built, and the depreciation on a range rover will outpace your fuel consumption. You can put 20 bucks of gas in it, and before your gas is gone you have lost a hundred bucks in depreciation

The 500 mercedes never breaks down.Owned mine for 8 years.Now the range rover always lets me down.

2005 Bmw 325i has 196, 000+ and I drive it everyday. Wife’s 2007 530xi has 170, 000+ on it and spent 1800 to change water pump and starter and hasn’t been a problem since!!

I gotta give Ford credit, the mustangs I have owned in the past far out lasted any BMW, Subaru, Audi and even Nissan sports car .
