Funny how Tyrion was only ever Tywin's son when he believed Jaime as good as dead, or had a crossbow pointed at him.

If Tyrion had been 2 ft taller, he'd be Tywin's favorite child because he's the only one as smart, cunning and ambitious as his father, Jaime and Cersei are two very disturbed individuals and the only reason Tywin values them higher than Tyrion is because they're not imps.

You know, Tyrion may be "the lowest of the Lanisters" and Tywin may hate him for "murdering" his wife, but I think they do have some strange sense of respect for each other.

You know Tywin is impressed with someone's intelligence when he pours them a drink or offers them food

"Madness, madness, and stupidity" I love when they speak of Joffrey's actions in their conversations. That lil sadistic punk knew how to keep his name ringing.

You can see it in his eyes, after saying those words, Tywin could have sent Tyrion to slay a dragon with a spoon and Tyrion would have come back with the reptile's head!

This scene is heartbreaking in hindsight. It’s shows that despite how much he hates Tyrion, Tywin knows that he’s brilliant. Other people have said that if the two of them worked together, they’d be unstoppable, and they’re not wrong

I love how he sayes that. It just makes Kevan seem like such a fool.

Every time Tywin raises his voice, an earthquake hits Westeros.

When he said your my son you could tell how much that meant to him. Great scene and Tywin is just a Lion. What an amazing presence

This is perhaps Tyrion's most emotional scene. On the one hand, it means that his father, who has hated him and pissed on him his whole life, finally accepts him as a legitimate heir. On the other hand, he knows that his father is only doing that because they both expect Jaime - the only human being who shares any bond of love or understanding with Tyrion at all - to be killed very soon. Tywin suddenly cares about Tyrion because he needs a male heir and Jaime is basically presumed dead.
