With the new Google Assistant service on IFTTT, you can now create applets on IFTTT that can be executed in your Google Home app as part of routines. This gives you the ability to schedule one or more IFTTT applets alongside other items in your Google Home ecosystem.

Thanks for this video. I was missing a vital step in the Google Home to IFTTT and this walkthrough helped.

"Google Routines" is not supported by Google Assistant SDK which makes it useless for homegrown projects. You can only use it with official GA products, and even then you still don't have the ingredients/variables back for your Applets. The nerf is real, and this is only a band-aid.

IFTTT is totally useless now. I can't even play music automatically when I get home. It's stupidly not a feature of Google and IFTTT is incredibly limited. Garbage software.
