SLDF and Inner Sphere: "Conquering the Periphery will be a cakewalk!"
Taurian Concordat: *Loads shotguns with malicious intent* "Cowabunga it is."

I have a whole new respect for the Tuarian Concordant now.

The Taurian Concordate: "I did not hear any bell ringing!"

... Until they realized they were deaf, and even still they continued to fight.

General Furlough is a fictional character who did fictional things, and I am sitting here, incensed at his fictional atrocities, a testament to a great video. And probably the longest YouTube I have ever watched in its entirety

I made this : )

...but I mean it genuinely when I say that it could never have happened without all of your continued support. I've read every comment that you have been kind enough to leave me and I always appreciate you doing so. Hopefully this compilation is a little easier to share around too. Thank you all again for 2500 subscribers.

It is so satisfying to see this project completed. There are a lifetime of half-completed and abandoned projects behind me (Pink Floyd has a good line about that) and at one point this looked like I'd bitten off way more than I could chew and it was going to come to naught. The encouragement I got helped me persevere and now here we are. A 3.5 hour epic. I hope you all enjoy. Look out for a channel update in the next few days where I'll be discussing my plans (and progress) on the next wave of BattleTech lore videos.

Nothing like a good underdog story.
Battletech: "How about four at the same time."

Seeing star league enaguge in terror tactics just because their war of conquest isn't going as fast as they would like makes watching star league later tear itself apart and use the same tactics on itself somewhat satisfying

I get the feeling that the civillian casualties listed with all those orbital bombardments and WMDs were probably much higher than the official figures given, especially considering that the Star League ultimately won and got to write the history books.

This is Luetin/Tex levels of lore respect, amazing work.

The Tuarians gave the Star League a bloody nose for how vicious and heroically they fought against them.

"You WILL join the Star League and BE happy!!" Not the best approach.

A fictional story about a fictional war in a fictional future history somehow manages to make me feel intense anger and patriotism for a fictional country.

Love that Battletech is making a comeback

I like how this eventually devolves into war crimes being mentioned what feels like every 2 minutes. Truly, the Star League was just a civil society. Anyhow excellent vidya!

"Amos Forlough [...] died on August 30th, 2639, outliving his many victims by half a century."

There is no justice in this world.

Chilling. These videos are wonderful. Your presentation is excellent.

The Magistracy was lucky that they had such a decent person as a foe in Captain-General Marik. Nice to see that some of the Mariks are competent, intelligent, and possessed of some moral backbone. Usually they only get one of the three.

The Taurians were absolutely savage in their resistance, resorting to guerilla warfare was going to be hard on the civilian populace, but it seems as if the Taurians were all-in. That war is probably the greatest tragedy in BT history, that it was later repeated makes it even worse.

Plastic minis, Tex Talks Battletech, and Plank's *Lawrence of Arabia* length documentary... It's a good time for Battletech fans.
What's next, good sir?

I thought Star League was all mythical knights and Orion mechs. It was just another tyrant. Phenomenal video!!! I love just how rich Battletech lore is.

Loving the deep dives, bro. I’m working on an “occult science fiction” worldbuilding project and the political elements of Battletech, with its fractured political landscape and no aliens has been a source of inspiration.
