This article is from 2020 though...now we know that bananas have enzymes that can reduce the antioxidant effects. So maybe swap it out for mango or something else creamy?

Hmmm… 32 oz daily without replacing other foods? I mean that’s 2 pounds of smoothie… why not just split that up into a veggie dish for supper and some sort of porridge with flax, cocoa and fruit?

We have just seen the recent studies about bananas, leeching off the nutrients from things like greens and berries. I am wondering about its effect and how it can be reconciled with the other research about bananas and nutrients in smoothies. Thanks ever so much.

I thought Dr Greger said we weren't supposed to mix bananas with blueberries, that the bananas negated the good of the blueberries?? What is the real truth? This or the other?

I did wonder if the banana polyphenol effect was that strong. We really need an exact similar study but with a mango! I have a crazy theory that the banana effect blocking polyphenols could result in a hormesis adaptive effect of some kind. So the people end up absorbing polyphenols better all round.

I’m wondering… according to the Swedish Food Agency consuming ground flax seed can lead to a too high of an intake of hydrogen cyanide. Which is dangerous. And which is why they recommend to not consume ground flax seed at all. What’s your take on this?

Would the high vitamin K1 content in all those greens increase fibrinogen and blood clotting. Fibrinogen is a big factor in CVD, even much more so that cholesterol. Should a baby aspirin be taken with that smoothie, or something like that?
