As a Physical Therapist, I'm all about daily exercising. And one of the first things I suggest is to track your steps and get a daily 30-minute walk or hike. But what if hiking or walking hurts your hips? Often it is a result of trigger points in the deep hip rotators. Learn how to identify the muscle and how to use trigger point work to alleviate your pain.

i have had hip pain on and off for 25 years - hypermobile in those joints - and no physio has ever really got me to work on trigger points/hotspots! It's always been about exercise - which usually worked for only three weeks before i was in pain again. As a result, i have been very inactive and now have osteoporosis - although i am quite a low weight as well - so i am very pleased to have found you.

My hip hurts right where i would place the palm of my hand at my side if i were a soldier, is the info in this video gonna address that area? Please help, hurts to walk, i feel like im woobling around. Walk uphill huts even more. Thanks

Thank you! I’m in my late 60’s. I’ve been getting back into hiking. My hips have been painful, limiting my walks. I’ve also had low back pain and muscle tightness when I go from sitting to standing in the large transverse muscle that goes from my iliac crest to my sacrum. Any ideas how to work on that? Thanks again.

Tried the foam roller didn’t feel much went onto the ball and Yep, that’s where the joy is lol
What can I do for SI joint area pain and is this all connected? Do you think lower back and hip flexors and of course pain in the ass piriformis trouble walking I’m a mess but I’m 45 so I’m supposed to be I guess I wish I would’ve taken care of myself better

I was walking the other day and started having major pain in my hip, upper thigh, knee, and my leg felt heavy. Once I sat down it stopped, but it did it again once I started walking. Now I was working out on the trampoline and not even 15 minutes into my work out my thigh is killing me. I

Jeez. I was just looking for some ideas how to reduce my current acute hip pain, and this all starts immediately with some big foam role which I don’t have, and can’t just get somewhere. It’s 2am. Not very practical.

I actually fell from a longbaord and fall directly on my hip and I can't walk for 4 days on day 6 I manage to to walk but I have to limp

oh good i'm gonna try all of these things today. I am a hiker in t sonoma, county and an equestrian and I've just started getting pain in my right hip for the first time ever.... i am gettin old 😅!
