Mine sounds like wind blowing. The more quiet the area I'm in is, the louder it gets. I stayed at a lakehouse deep in the wilderness and I learned the true meaning of deafening silence because I laid in bed and all I could hear was a roaring wind sound although I knew it was dead silent.

Mine waivers between 4000 and 800 but mainly 4000
Luckily, I have had this since I was a kid as long as I can remember, but I can only imagine getting it as an adult. It would be very disorienting, but to me when I hear my ears ringing I know that I’m in silence, which is calming my right ear does most of the ring which makes sense. My ENT says that’s my bad ear. I’ve had hearing loss since I was a baby, but only hearing loss on certain high pages and low pages I give myself 20 years before I need a hearing aid and that’s being generous

Only time my tinnitus affects me is when I think about it… it’s just crazy to me that I’ve been hearing this for 25 years and my brain just chooses to ignore it… I wonder what true silence sounds like 😂 I bet it would be too much for my brain

So I’ve heard 4 for as long as I can remember. 3 played I paused it and it was gone for a few seconds. Now 4 is back as I type this. What a trip.

I've had tinnitus all my life. I'm 72 now. It's like the whistle on an old TV -- anyone over 50 will know what I mean. It's probably between 3 & 4 on this video.

I have a permanent ringing which sounds like you're near an electrical outlet and get the bigger ear rings every so often.
