Me, being the absolute genius I am, turned the volume all the way up at the beginning, stuck the speaker to my ear and listened carefully.

I've always thought it was the noise of my brain working. And I thought everyone had it.

After 21 years of my live I've recently discovered that not everybody has that sound. It never really bothered me until I realized it's a disease. It really was better not to know the truth

This gets me down so much. I suffer so much with this and others around me don’t seem to understand. It’s great to let them hear what I hear. 😢

for my whole life, I thought this was the quietness sound, I figured out later that I did not hear how the real quietness looks like at all .. what a sad reality

I think I have tinnitus but it is only apparent when it's very quiet and it's very ambient, and I used to not have it. Probably because of the earrape I endured, now I'm immune to earrape but I feel as if my hearing has lessened

These comments make me laugh and smile because I know I’m not alone . I’ve had tinnitus as long as I can remember and it kinda sounds like that channel when it goes off air with the colour bars, I feel bad for the people with the constant beeps . I sleep with an app that simulates a blow dryer and I also sleep with a fan to try and drown out the noise ... my heart goes out to all of you, my tinnitus brothers and sisters ❤️

My brother is 26, and barely discovered he has tinnitus. He’s had it his whole life, and thought it was normal to hear ringing. He used to get in fights a lot, and even got a certificate as a child for being “fight free for 30 days”. It also makes him anxious in loud crowded places. Hearing ringing like this, can make you easily lose your shit when your even slightly agitated. 🤣 My mama asked me about it too at 23, when I said I don’t like going to the mall because it’s too much. She asked me questions, and when I answered with the symptoms, she told me about the condition. Mine isn’t as bad/loud as his. I thought it was normal too! My mama yelled at me, “That’s not normal!” All her children are walking around thinking it’s normal! 🤣

Thank you for putting all the different noises out I get the ringing on occasion but usually it’s white noise… Sometimes when I get the ringing in my ears clog up at the same time like I’m underwater

For some reason the first sound made my ears almost stop ringing

It's weird, I occasionally have tinnitus in one ear only. It'll turn "on and off", so it's incredibly distracting because it's not just a continuous noise, it comes and goes randomly so it keeps my attention the whole time. Thankfully this only happens once in a while, so I can't even imagine what it's like to have this all the time...

For today's tinnitus concert, my ears are playing me an endless 8Khz triangle wave symphony while I am just trying to get some damn sleep 🥲

At first, I heard nothing on Sound #2. When I increased the volume, I found it is an exact duplication of what I hear in my own ears. Thanks @Medicspot. Now I can show my husband why I don't hear him often when he speaks to me.

I have this since I was a child and I didn't realize it wasn't normal and I thought it was the sound of the night after almost 17 years of my existence I now realized it wasn't. It isn't really annoying though there are some times the pitch goes really high but only for a few seconds.

I’ve dealt with this all my life, but I never realized it until tonight. I just thought it was normal and everyone heard it! I’ve always been easily agitated by noise and loud tv, etc... so this makes sense finally!
