Thanks for the information! Its been 3 weeks since i put my date seeds on plastic bag and it now it has root. Transferring the seeds to pot today!

A good tip is to propagate around double the amount of seeds you need (depending on the plant) and then just use the strongest of the batch for the best results.

Correct me if I’m wrong but based on my knowledge, date seeds turn out to be male palms that only produce flowers. Only date producing palms which are females have smaller palms sprouting around them. They can be removed and planted anywhere else.

To get proper dates, the pollen from the male palm should transfer to the dates while they’re under development during spring.

And date palms need years to grow tall. The process is complex but very interesting.
