Because capitalism is doing it any better? Everyday people being scammed out of their money and resources by ultra wealthy corporations, especially Healthcare in some places.
Sorry but we need a system that employs aspects of both. And get rid of big corporations and monopoly.

Legitimately the worst angle to attack socialism. The problem is that in a world where the government controls the economy, it becomes the monopoly.

The whole point of contributing to social welfare is that your family wouldnt starve in the face of adversity if everyone pitches in to help, also, interesting how the positive aspects he pointed were child labor and higher profits, its quite a capitalist perspective

What do you do about people who can’t work? Oh yeah, they starve. And you’re cool with that.

I feel like their missing the point that capitalism has the same issues if not regulated. Workers have no ownership over their work and no matter how hard they work the opportunity to gain capital is locked behind debt and competition created by the ruling class.

Debt benefits the rich as it forces their
workers to work even in terrible working conditions, debt is a personal responsibility but predatory companies that target and destroy the lives of the desperate and uneducated should be prosecuted as literal slave traders.

Capitalism is great but selling it as something that simply improves a country no matter how it's implemented is seriously dangerous

Capitalism incentives overproduction. What you make beyond your means can be traded for other things.
Socialism incentives underproduction what you miss your quota by will be given to you free of charge.

When your family is starving, a real socialist system would give them food.
They won't steal all your property, they collect a small selection for the greater good. Such as for those starving in this example.

Forgot to mention the people taking the fruits of their labour were the landlords in capitalism who owned the farm (means of production) and in the new system the people working get to keep the fruits for their labour because they own the farm(means of production)

I'd say that taxes are helpful to ensure that monopolies of Land or Capital aren't exploited in such a system. After all, a More successful Farmer could buy More machinery, get More Efficient than everyone Else and buy Up Land from the struggling Farmers, force Them to Work for less pay, and repeat the cycle until they're a Monopoly.

Basically, that's not what happened. Everyone worked for themselves and without social security, many family farms went bankrupt. Large entrepreneurs bought them up, employed the remaining family members and paid them a pittance and when they went to the big city to make their fortune instead They hired seasonal workers for a fraction of a starvation wage to order the paints of course after slavery was abolished but hey Republican Party we look at history the way we want to look at it not the way it really happened because after the Civil War things pretty much went downhill for our party

So what happens to the family who couldn’t work as effectively because, they’re unable to have children? Someone developed a cancer or caught an illness? One or more of their kids are physically or mentally disabled? Someone was killed by a wild animals?
Capitalism is great when you don’t have any barriers to stop you or reduce you from participating in it. (And when you don’t have someone taking most of the food because they own the fields and manage their workers)

Taxation is also wealth distribution and depreciates incentive.

Now we have big companies that see people as expendable

Wait, so what about landlords and the risk of rent seeking?😊

Socialism isn’t the redistribution of all your labour. It’s ensuring that many crucial systems like healthcare and transportation are provided by a single governing body, the government, and by extension, the people.

It’s really no different than paying taxes for healthcare, just more services will be government provided.

Now the stability of this system depends on the strength of the system’s currency which is likely weak in a world dominated by two-three hyper-selfish global superpowers.

This animation is more like what Cuba has, akin to communism.

As always, capitalism projects its own problems onto socialism.
