We’re used to talking about migration in economic terms, or for asylum seekers in language of threat and safety - but some scientists believe climate may become the biggest, irreversible driver for the mass movement of millions of people by the end of the century.

Despite increased pledges and targets to tackle climate change, the world is currently on course for warming of around 2.7% by then, far above the Paris Agreement of 1.5%.

Kate Lamble examines a new report which attempts to quantify the human cost of climate change, and where it would no longer be safe to live.

It's not only the people who have to change but the BIG INDUSTRIES have to be regulated. If they cut their emissions, we can make it!

This is the kind of important news your journalistic team should be focusing on spreading with clarity and urgency so we can collectively demand change. It's important for everyday people to understand the existential threat we and all living things are facing.

And the root cause of these problems, that nobody seems to want to discuss seriously? Population growth. Out of control, logarithmic, population growth. And if us humans keep refusing to control our breeding program, our cooking planet will do it for us.

Another problem is that humidity increases and sweating becomes less effective

Yet instead of increasing funding for climate change actions, many countries are spending heavily on military to prepare for war. We are in a vicious circle which may accelerate climate change and its disastrous consequences.

Air conditioners use massive amounts of energy and make things worse

The title of the video is Where will it be too hot, etc. And the video should start with an answer to that, and then go on....after that you can go on to the reasons, consequences, etc....

Go vegan/vegetarian, ride bike more and vote for politicians that care about this topic. For everyday-people there no more we can do.

Snow crabs and urchins found the Bering Sea and the Red Sea unlivable leaving huge gaps in the food chain! It’s getting very ugly!

Info has come out that since the 70's CO2 rise it has produced
15% more green plant growth on our planet earth.
More plants more oxygen. What's wrong with that.
Would you rather have less oxygen and less plants.
Think on that.

We have got to start putting renewables everywhere. If people are going to need air-conditioning, it should run off of solar power or wind power. The greed of the oil industry is what has brought us to this point and the stubbornness of one of the political parties in the United States, which refused to believe there's any climate change at all. I live in the Southwest desert of the US and we have seen this coming for the last 15 years we constantly have heat domes every summer we constantly have temperatures that range at 110 degrees and above for weeks and all of a sudden it became a big news item because it has effected some of the climate denying States.

For those who blames ONLY China for emissions. Facts: 1. Average Chinese consumes less than half of energy/generate less co2 than average Americans, even less than half of that accumulatively. 2. About 20% of Chinese CO2 emissions generated are for making and exporting goods for western countries to consume. 3. Emission reduction is a global effort, advanced economies such as G7 must lead by reducing their personally average emission first.

More severe and frequent storms, droughts, flooding, are the effects of climate change, it's a major concern.

Feels over 100°/38° every day here in Key West for quite a few days. After living here for many years I literally cannot go out in the sun. Everything I was taught as a child in the UK about climate change is coming to fruition.
