Sales hasn’t been this way for a long time, not at the upper end at least. It’s professional buyers and professional sellers, it’s about building trust over a period of time by solving problems.

I don't think people understand that he's talking that way on purpose to be more relatable to the prospect and get the prospect to lower their guard against him.

Speak professional and face a prospect with their guard up to the max or speak relatably and disarm a prospect for an easier conversation and higher chance at closing. Your choice...

This is a car pitch, before when you could negotiate. ‘Bro you really want someone seeing you in that? Here’s a *fill in the blank* that will give you status and respect. If you’re a good salesman you don’t need to bring down the customer to sell something.

This is good advice and the general idea of acting confused is good. But you're at a 10, bring it down to a 7.. It's effective, but don't make it obvious that you're acting.
