In this next powerful job interview training tutorial, I will teach you how to answer the tough interview question; SELL ME THIS PEN! This is one of the hardest interview questions to answer and one where the majority of people fail!

If you have an interview coming up soon for any role or company, stay tuned because I will help you pass at the very first attempt!

PLEASE SUBSCRIBE TO MY CHANNEL AND GIVE THE VIDEO A LIKE. THANK YOU!

To help you pass your interview on the first attempt, I will teach the following 3 things in this tutorial:
#1. I will explain WHY the hiring manager is asking you the interview question; SELL ME THIS PEN! If you understand why the question is being asked, you can give the perfect answer!
#2. I will tell you HOW NOT to sell a pen. This is what 99% of candidates do when answering the question, sell me this pen. If you do the same, you will FAIL your interview.
#3. I will tell you the simple 3-step process to follow when selling a pen, plus the EXACT SCRIPT you can use in your answer!

Why is the hiring manager asking you the interview question; SELL ME THIS PEN!
Well, they are asking you this tough question because they want to determine whether or not you understand the sales process. To sell a pen correctly, you must understand how the selling process works. If you understand the selling process, you can sell products for their company and be a great fit for their team.

Before I explain the sales process in 3 simple-to-understand steps, let me tell you HOW NOT to sell a pen! 99% of candidates will actually start to sell the pen to the interviewer without asking them questions or determining their needs. They will say something like…

• This is a great pen!
• It’s great quality.
• It’s good value for money
• It’s the best pen on the market right now!

If you try to sell a pen like that in your interview, you will fail!

But what is the selling process, and how can you sell a pen in three easy-to-follow steps? Let me explain how…

STEP #1 Whenever selling a pen in an interview is to ask the hiring manager the following 4 questions:
Q1. So, how long have you been in the market for a pen for?
Q2. What would you use the pen for? If it for business such as signing contracts or checks, or for personal use?
Q3. Have you experienced any problems with pens that you’ve bought previously?
Q4. How much would you typically spend on a pen?

While the hiring manager is answering those questions, listen carefully to what they are saying. This is important because it makes them (or the customer) feel you have their best interests at heart.

STEP #2 for selling a pen is to ask the hiring manager for permission to tell them about your pen and how you think it will meet their needs.

STEP #3 for selling a pen in an interview is to then tell the hiring manager (or customer) about your pen's benefits and how it will meet their needs.

wrong, you put the pen in your pocket and say "What's the next question?", they will ask for what you are doing and for the pen back. That is when you say "20 bucks"

I love how this guy is using some of his own tips during this video. It gives you a chance to see how he actually operates selling an item, in this case, himself and his platform. I feel that the selling process as explained closely correlates to the process of building a social media base. This is a very helpful video, not only to those that are trying to learn the selling process and pass an interview, but also for anyone that is advertising and promoting yourself and/or your business.

You have a subscriber for life, after watching your videos I nailed all three of my interviews and each job offered a higher salary, I saw a comment where someone smugly stated " people will only watch if they have an interview" but I disagree, your content is relevant, informative, and interesting no matter if you are applying for a job, so thank you for what you do!!!!

This is first rate content and I visit this channel regularly to refamiliarize myself with top notch ideas and concepts. Questions which are designed to stir emotion and appeal to emotionally based needs; they pull on powerful psychological levers which rational, fact based, functionally oriented questions can't achieve to the same degree. Nike doesn't solely sell athletic footwear with unique features and benefits. Nike sells the opportunity to "connect" to an elite community of "elite champions" "striving for excellence." By stirring emotions Nike appeals to deep seated needs like connection, community, status, and progress. The fantastic design and functionality legitimizes the price to value positioning. Nike sells soles and souls.

If someone tells you to sell them something, don't ask them for permission to do what they already asked you to do. They already gave you permission, and asking for it again will create a sense of disconnect and lack of presence. Just my input. Keep up the good work.
