I enjoy that the Vipers went from a clusterfuck to an organized attack formation in about three seconds as soon as someone said there was a Raider.

I love how Col is relieved instead of furious that it's just Starbuck on "another one of her crazy stunts"

Fun Info: For those who don't read the BSG comics and novels, Admiral Cain (while using the Pegasus) ended up actually losing in the war games repeatedly against older smaller Battlestars. The reason? Because she was incredibly inflexible, and not able to adapt to changing/unconventional tactics. She was too by the book. Other Captains, and ship commanders secretly made fun of her for inability to win with a larger more modern ship.

Also, we find out that even though it's almost twice as big as the Jupiter class, the Mercury class's extra interior is mostly taken up by fabrication facilities (not weapons). So being bigger in this case is not necessarily an advantage. The Mercury class was considered a "test-bed" for new technologies (like on-board Viper factories), but was never intended to be mass produced as it was absurdly expensive. So only a few were made.

Many Admirals considered the Mercury-class to be bloated, and preferred the smaller and cheaper Valkyrie-class (and older Jupiter class refits). Being posted to a highly expensive Mercury-class was considered a "prestige" post (but one with no fleet command authority). The Fleet Admirals stuck Admiral Cain on the Pegasus to "honor" her, but secretly they all thought she was crazy and unfit for commanding large fleets. They wanted her someplace where she wouldn't be able to make important decisions.

Love the difference in reaction in Adama and Cain when Starbuck jumps in. Adama "Identify." is simple, effective, "Let's deal with this new problem right now." Cain on the other hand takes time to chew out one of the crew for not detecting it sooner.

Beautiful shot when all the Vipers rotate to engage the "Cylon"

I just love that exasperated look on Kara's face when she jumps back and witnesses the passive-aggressive furball that's going on between the Vipers of Galactica and Pegasus. "I was gone for ten minutes ffs..."

Saul both disparages and commends Starbuck in the same breath haha.

0:55 I love Apollo's face when he gets pulled on. Like, "dude, that so unnecessary!"

In the original script, the vipers were supposed to actually shoot at each other. But Moore decided that would be a step way too far. The crews would never be able to work together after that.

Lee smiles for he knows, one way or the other, he’s gonna wreck Pegasus.

That's one of my favourite moments in the entire series. I love how both groups of fighters are prepared to start shooting holes in one another, but immediately turnabout face and group together to engage the enemy.

What happens at 3:10 when all ships reorient is on of the most perfect moments in Sci Fi. Ever.

"His wingman kept requesting permission to fire; somebody screws up in a situation like this, we're going to be in the biggest naval battle since the Jutland."
-Admiral Josh Painter, "The Hunt for Red October"

This line went through my mind watching this scene.

I love the way the radio messages sound, just that right amount of garbled to make it sounds cool but still understandable.

Great example where a common enemy causes humans to set aside their differences

I love Saul’s face @ 1:45. Great acting! Despite the alcoholism and all the other struggles, Saul is a dutiful officer and Bill’s best friend. He just stands quietly at the ready. He knows if Bill gives the order, it will destroy humanity and yet he is ready to execute without hesitation. Unlike Cain’s officer’s who follow out of fear, Galactica follow Adama out of respect, brotherhood, and mutual caring.

3:03 - it's so satisfying to see them joining hand to hand in the end the moment they heard the "cylon raider" was on top of them xdd
