Visually one of the best space battles ever. I love the overview of the battle from Apollo’s perspective outside the field as he floats around waiting for rescue.

Battle of New Caprica (both the Adama manuever and the destruction of the Pegasus) is still more epic though IMO. I’m looking for that next.

"Full attack mode" quote always sent shivers down my spine. Up to this point it was about survival and avoiding conflict as much as possible but when this episode aired you could feel that this was the turning point for Galactica.

The show runners did an amazing job with this scene and sadly we will never see anything like it for a long time.

No wonder the Cylons needed to disable the colonial fleet, if two battlestars can do this much.

BSG definitely had the most realistic space battles.
And unlike the nonsense from most other space opera's like Star Trek and Star Wars the ships and fighters don't fly and swoop like they're flying in an atmosphere.
This was probably the most realistic future tech from any series.
We just have to figure out FTL and Artificial Gravity.

Wish we could have seen the look on the toasters' faces when the battlestars jump in. Close second would be when the first base star goes down.
