This movie had me tripping throughout my youth. I saw it when I was 5 and thought I was always being stalked.

Most messed up part of the entire movie is when his "wife" begins to suggest they should have children. They want Truman to have offspring so that they can use his children as entertainment after he eventually passes.

One of my favorites is that Truman takes vitamin-d pills when he eats breakfast due to the lack of a real sun.

My favourite part is when his friend is restocking the vending machine and takes the ones he already put in out so he can put them in again, showing that he didn't actually carry enough items to fill the machine

My favourite detail is one Truman and his friend are drinking beer and you can see Truman drinking his beer regularly and his friend drinking the beer and having the label pointed the camera

My favorite detail is in the scene in which Cristof is explaining the ways they had to manufacture ways to keep Truman on the island. There’s a shot of a mean looking rottweiler barking at a scared young Truman, as it’s guarding a boat dock. Likely to keep him afraid of going near any boats. It may also be why Truman seems to be scared of his neighbor’s dog Pluto when he jumps up on him.

Another one I like is how when a coworker of Truman’s introduces him to his new stage managed love interest, they made her look as much like Sylvia as possible. With the sandy blonde hair, and near identical red sweater.

The Truman show is in my opinion a life changing experience. Along the same lines of completing red dead 2 and getting the deer ending the first time.

Years before I even heard of the Truman show I often imagined the scenario that I was basically the only sentient person and that everyone around me was either actors, AI/Robots, or a simulation. Eventually I was like nahhh, that’s impossible.
Then I saw the Truman show and it unlocked that memory.

While it isnt visible in home viewings, its interesting to note that all the outdoor shots were done on a stage, so on the big screen, the sky projects a slight uncanny valley effect. A friend of mine helped paint over 40, 000 square feet of sky for the movie.

Everyone always says this movie made them paranoid they were apart of a Truman show, but what scares me is how scarily accurate this Movie is becoming. Examples like the Kardashians and Chris Chan. Literally every moment (almost) broadcasted for the world too see. And how artificial everything is nowadays.
