I like to imagine that as an Auror, Harry got a lot of respect from dark wizards. Like “Holy shit, that’s the guy who killed You-Know-Who! No way I’m fighting that guy!”

Maybe he thought after all the trouble he has suffered and went through for years, being an auror would be a walk in the park.

In the book this conversation didn't happen. It was a conversation with portrait Dumbledore he says he's happier with his wand, fixes his wand with the elder wand, then tells portrait Dumbledore he's putting the elder wand back where it belongs and as long as he dies a natural death the wands power will be broken.

Yeah but now it’s the other way around hes chasing them and not thousands chasing him lol

In the book, he doesn’t snap the wand. He uses it to repair his original wand that snapped during an incident and then sets it on the Dumbuldore’s desk and leaves it there.

I adore Harry as a main character. He was so true to love and his friends despite betrayals and everything hes been through. He would be very passionate about being an Auror and helping victims to Dark witches and wizards.

And that's why breaking the wand in the film was probably better than simply putting it back like he did in the book. He said that if he died a natural death without being defeated then the power of the Wand would die with him, but as he was planning to become an Auror that was a VERY big 'if'!

There is trouble (like being an auror), and then there's trouble when you carry the Elder Wand. Hatry understood his choice about being an auror. He just didn't want to fight the never-ending stream of glory seekers who would want the Elder Wand for themselves.

And here I was thinking it was "The scar had not pained him for 19 years " 🤔

What kills me is they left out the part in the book where he uses the elder wand to repair his own wand.

HE LITERALLY JUST CRACKS IT IN HALF LIKE A TOOTHPICK AND YEETS IT.

In this life, there will ALWAYS be trouble. Elder wand causes wars. I would choose troubles over wars any day.

Harry was never afraid of adventures, he was just afraid of losing his people.

That's the reason .

And that is why the fandom has collectively decided to completely ignore the existence of The Cursed Child

That's why I like the book ending better

Being an Auror had nothing on what Harry went through growing up.

I dont think Harry ever thought he was never gonna have trouble again. I mean, trouble comes in a variety of forms, not only the life risking kind. I think he was just done, and exhausted in that moment, and didnt mean it literally. It was just a phrase.

my headcanon is that he is an on-call active auror when theres a tough one to catch. when theres none, he is a defence against dark arts prof
