I believe it’s because he didn’t want Voldemort to kill Draco as he knew Draco was good inside, and he knew Draco didn’t want to do it - he was being threatened.

It’s because he knew that 1) Draco was good and was being coerced, and 2) Draco needed to disarm Dumbledore on the Astronomy Tower so that he would become the master of the Elder Wand, thus placing Harry close to the wand’s master and in a good position to claim it.

I said this before and I stand by it. Dumbledore is a chess player. He knows you need to sacrifice a few pieces in order to checkmate the king.

And this is war time so his eyes are on the long game and not the individual people on his team. We see this in how he treated Snape, Harry, Sirius, the Weasleys, and even Draco. There were many times he could have done something for the welfare of these individuals but he didn't because in the long run, it would hurt the cause and possible secure a victory for Voldemort.

I don't remember exactly how this scene was in the books, currently re-reading tho. But I don't think Dumbledore did anything about it, because he couldn't do anything about it. What was he gonna do? Say it's Malfoy? Nah, that would ruin future events that basically had to happen. He would also make Malfoy look bad, even though Malfoy had to do what he did. I don't think Dumbledore could do anything

Actually Dumbledore is a really good friend. If he told them it was Draco. They would protect Dumbledore and then Voldemort would have killed Draco. Which would mean harry wouldn't have been able to destroy the cup horcrux and when he pretended to be dead Draco's mom would have not lied for him to Voldemort and harry would have actually died. So Dumbledore is a very good friend.

He didn't tell anyone it was Draco because he NEEDED him to try to kill him, so Snape could kill him and continue his plan so Harry could defeat Voldemort.
I'm sure he did feel bad for the Weaslys, but he couldn't help
