We Need to Talk About the 'Graphics Update' in The Crew 2...

With the newest update on The Crew 2, there has been some frustration from the community due to the degraded graphics in performance mode. We discuss them and an apparent temporary fix from ivory tower until a future update is released to improve the resolution of this new mode.

This game seriously needs to fix the night time along with the headlights With the night duration lasting from 7pm to 6 am. ubisoft does everything but that and refuse to try and fix it... the night time needs to be dark with a black sky and if in the middle of nowhere away from the city where there's no light pollution, add a milky way galaxy skybox. It was there in TC1 before they ruined it in the wild run/calling all units update. Remember when TC2 first came out and seeing the city lights in the distance it was so beautiful. typical ubisoft taking the best features out of the game and not fixing the actual issue... I just want to go night cruising but ubisoft don't care obviously

The graphics update hurt my eyes on Series S, i was in a snowstorm and it felt like the rain from the GTA Trilogy remasters. The snow was seizure inducing and then there were screen tears galore

Even after the 'fix' it still looks extremely soft on my 1080p phone!

I have friends who only have a 1080p display and don't notice the drop in quality on performance mode but those who have a 4k display like me definitely notice it

I actually thought it looked...okay-ish for about thirty seconds, but then I tried the photo mode and panned around my car...and I encourage anyone to do this near human bystanders in the game 😂... I swear, before I even saw this video, I actually saved at least three or four photos on my PS5 ssd just because they are SO HILARIOUS. You would think you were looking at an up-res'ed Goldeneye NPC when you pan to the people in-game, it really is that unspeakably bad.

I don't actually think it's that much worse than it was before I just think this 'upgrade' has caused people to notice how shocking it looks when up until now they ignored it.

i think one of the biggest things they needed to do since day 1 was put the traffic lights in the right place! when you try to drive normally and stop at a red light when you get all the way at the front you can’t see it because it’s right above you and they need to fix that so you can just normally drive while seeing the traffic light and know when it green and stuff like that

At this point, i don't know who to blame anymore. Game devs showing their newest games with insane graphics during showcases and then releasing the final game completly downgraded and packed with glitches like Cyberpu..(cough) or console brands laying about their console performances. I'm starting to wonder if the "latest generation SSD" in PS5s and Xboxs really played an important part in this new generation. To be honest, the PS1 to PS2 jump was far more impressive than the jump from PS4/XONE to PS5/XSERIES.

They should fix the loading of the things around you than making the resolution better, you can see how some things just come out of nowhere like how traffic cars spawn which is major heck i hit cars that are invisible.

That's got to be a bug. The perfomance mode on Series X doesn't look like it drops anywhere near that much resolution

I was shocked when I tried Crew 2's new performance mode. I remembered the times of xbox 360 and PS2. year 2022 games lack anti-aliasing👀Crew 2 is one of the worst optimized games. So probably that new mode will be 720p/60fps on both consoles in reality. That new mode series x and ps5 looks absolutely shocking. I had to make sure the nintendo switch wasn't on.
