A human needs at least 12, 000mg or 12 grams a day and taken 4 times a day so a level of 3000mg per dosing to achieve a constant 200 blood plasma level orally. I've been taking 10, 000mg or more a day for a few months, I will admit if lazing around I can feel tired but when active I'm super active. It's as if my body knows what I need to do and if resting it wants to rest well. I have put a slighty bit of weight on but at the same time I've been eating more things I wouldn't have before as I've been getting a lot of free food. My skin is silky smooth and not an pin head worth of dry skin on my feet not even the sides of my big toe. My dreams are intense if I take a mega dose of Vitamin C prior to sleep ! I do also juice fruit twice a day. I do take daily Iron in the form of a 6x potency of Ferrum Phos tissue salts. I do not take Cuprum Ars which is Copper Arsenite which can be taken in a 12x potency.

I see nothing wrong with megadosing 10k vit c if sick. even more. but to do that daily? this guy is right. do things in moderation. your body doesn't need this amount daily for years on end if you are healthy

I started taking vitamin c recently. At 3g-4g makes me feel so much better and resilient. I am trying to solve my chronic fatigue issue...
I will continue doing it with caution.
Do you think liposomal really is superior to plain ascorbic acid?
Thanks

According to Mayo clinic - ascorbic acid blocks b12.

I agree. I am never ill but have had some infection going on and I had some 500mg vitamin c supplements in the house and took them for two days. I felt terrible. Nauseated and fatigued and literally slept for 13 hours. I felt so lousy I threw them away yesterday. I will stick to normal vitamin c from god given foods.😊 I don’t tolerate multi- vitamin supplements in general well either so I have never taken them

So if you just added a little more copper to the food it would have helped?

Have been experimenting with high dose buffered vitamin C powder during covid duration. This stuff works the best when you take it right away when you get a tickle or suddenly feel weak from illness.

my vitamin C test result was 1.7 mg/L, the reference value being 4.6 to 15.0 mg/L. Always eating salad, lime juice. I have hashimoto's hypothyroidism and also elevated reverse T3, probably due to a high level of stress, resulting in cortisol at 8 am 25.28 ug/dL, the reference value being 5.27 - 22.45 ug/dL. Would supplementation with 500mg of vitamin C be interesting in this case, to support the adrenal glands and control cortisol, or do you think it would have too much impact on ceruloplasmin and affect thyroid function?
And could these vitamin C tests, as it is highly reactive, possibly be wrong? My girlfriend's was also very low at 1.2mg/L.
and I thought that instead of taking a vitamin C supplement, introduce 85% chocolate for its anti-stress action, who knows, maybe it would balance things out more.

Great video, It’s good to know that mega dosis of vitamin C could affect the thyroid gland. Thanks

I have been taking Vitamin C on and off since 3 years. Recently I have been taking it on a regular basis with iron supplements and noticed having shortness of breath. Im still working on noticing if Vitamin C is the real cause of my feeling breathless and heaviness in my right lung.

What about supplementing with natural vitamin C? For example, the vitamin C powder (Wild C) produced by the Australian company Eden Health Foods)? Is it the mega-dosing of ascorbic acid the problem or should we also avoid taking these natural preparations which contain the whole complex?

2 to 3000 mg vitamin c is not a mega dosing my friend. That's why you have the condition. You should've been taken more.. I'm taking 10000 to 12000 mg a day!

i appreciate your story, however, is that correlation you speak of causation? Because there are many things that can effect the things you talk about. Are there any solid studies to show ascorbate negatively affecting copper, ceruloplasmin, thyroid? I have only seen positive studies about ascorbate, and found studies countering these claims, since other nutrient deficiencies and factors play a role in the outcome. Any negative effects were seen at extremely high doses, much higher than what you were taking, although it is individualized as to how these things can affect people, good or bad.

Ran across this researching something else. I am in a FB group where they mega dose Vit C and I mean a lot more than 2-4 grams and I have yet to see anyone say they have had thyroid problems from it and they also address the copper issue, but I don't remember what they say. I currently use about 2 grams a day and also 1 gram of lipo vit C, it is very good for adrenals, if stressed.

I was taking 3 grams vitamin c and drinking throughout the day. Recently I took two 20 ml doses of extra strength mylanta, and came down with bad headache shortly after... I've had this head ache and vertigo for few weeks now. Do you think this is a sign of aluminum poisoning? I have read vit c increases aluminum absorption

Everyone needs at least 250 milligrams just stay healthy. If from food sources better

You just think it could be harmful you don't have any evidence of that. To the contrary, there is plenty of evidence in favor of megadosing C (4 grams per day) and much more if you are ill.

Most mammals make their own vitamin C from glucose and it's in the order of grams.

Also, If copper is dropping it is likely that it is being used in certain enzymatic reactions with vitamin C, so simply supplement copper as well.
