This yin for fall season practice connects us to the potent equinox energies.

The autumn equinox initiates a movement toward our inner landscape and soul essence. The wisdom of the equinox teaches us how to remain in our centre as we balance between light and dark, heaven and earth, yin and yang. As the days become darker, we remember that we have a light within ourselves that shines brightly. This yin yoga practice meditates on the seasonal shift into fall, and unwinds the roots of the body through supportive forward folds, backbends and twists.

Such a lovely, gentle practice for fall. It was exactly what I needed this morning to support my immunity as I recover from a cold. Hi Kristen-Another wonderful practice- thank you! Backbends and heart openers really kick up fear for me so thank you for talking through that fear piece. This was perfectly timed for me because I listened to the On Being podcast yesterday where Suzanne Simard (I think) was interviewed about her forest research and the connectivity of the forest. I recommend listening. Your root metaphors were well taken!
