I think the reason he got nominated for an Oscar was especially because of this scene. His face, that's the face of true fear and horror. I barely ever saw somebody with such a terrifying expression on his face. This scene gives me goosebumbs, one of the best scenes in that movie.

This is no doubt one of the scariest scenes ever. Just the idea of being trapped in your mind, forever falling in darkness and nobody being able to hear you is a nightmare on its own.

This movie has some of the scariest moments I have ever seen. Like when she says ''SINK'' with that heavy dark voice....

Sleep paralysis is terrifying. I get that sometimes during nightmares, it's such a terrifying feeling. You wanna move, but you just can't.

The sunken place looks terrifying, just to be stuck down there and no one hears you. You can only see them😳

Daniel Kaluuya acted the SHIT outta this film.

Creepiest part is when she caresses his face at the end, almost like a mother wiping away a child's tear. Except she had basically just created and signed his death warrant.

Best scene in the entire movie. She is so believable as a hypnotist. The way she stirs the cup as she manipulated his emotions is great and the way she said SINK is iconic. Love this scene.

Every time I see Jordan Peele's face I'm like "This dude did not write and direct this masterpiece"

Man, it's a damn shame this movie will probably not get nominated for anything, this scene alone is amazing

What really makes the Sunken Place terrifying is the meaning behind it—systematic marginalization and silencing oppresed people, completely stripping them of any kind of power or agency. In spite of how much they try to scream and fight, they're always trapped on limbo.

This movie is so eerie.. everything about it just makes you feel creeped out and on edge, and I think that’s what makes this such a great horror movie. You can watch blood and gore, but a good psychological horror film makes you really feel fearful- almost like you’re sinking into a paralyzed state along with the character.
