My parents always kept the house on fire at night. I'm glad I'm in college now, I turn the air conditioner all the way down

I like to sleep in a cold bedroom because it's more cozy to wrap yourself up in blankets than to be sweating in the middle of the night. I keep my window open with a fan most of the time, including cold nights.

Perfect! Yes Brown fat is great. I prefer to have no heat on during the winter, this is of course while I sleep. I would have it completely off during the winter, but my partner and son would not take to it all that well. I also know doing cold immersion regularly increases brown fat as well. So I do that as much as possible. I usually wear a short sleeve shirt and shorts as long as possible during the year. I let my body feel the cold so I can get goose bumps and shiver a bit knowing my body will learn to regulate my temperature more efficiently. After some time your body will become cold adapted and being in colder climates is not so hard anymore. Start out slowly introducing your body to cold immersion, like cold showers from 3 to 10 mins or whatever you can tolerate. Within a month or so you are able to be in cold temperatures without being effected by it like you used to.
Enjoy.

Something 'white' that's not considered good, but 'brown' is? Now there's a plot twist.

I've always loved sleeping with a cold temperature in my room. It's easier to fall asleep in my opinion, plus, I like to cuddle up in my blankets more.

I like Tara the best on D-News. She always seems professional, informative and she never comes off as condescending (unlike Laci)
