Is thread vein removal painful?

Sclerotherapy is a medical procedure used to treat thread veins and spider veins. During the procedure, a solution (sclerosant) is injected directly into the affected veins, causing them to collapse and eventually fade away. And the good news? The treatment is generally well-tolerated.

Some patients may experience a slight burning or stinging sensation during and after the treatment. After treatment the treated areas may experience itching and mild discomfort which usually passes within 1-2 days.
