This is s car I would buy to own. Its easily the best looking. While the M340i and S4 is more expensive similarly equipped and quicker in a straight line I'd rather the styling and handling of this car. The only car I would buy over this is the CT4-V Blackwing.

I personally daily a 2024 type S and weekend a C7 on the weekend and am very happy with both but if I can only choose one I'd go with my C7 all day long. This is still a dream as you are reading this comment 😂 n I hope we all can do this very soon. Best of luck fellas.

(This response is) For the Naysayers:
I hate touch screens. They soon develop touch area "wear" points and they are permanent . I clean mine in my 2019 A-SPEC SH-AWD just using a micro fiber cloth. The spots just won't come out. In my 2024 A-SPEC (Urban Gray), that screen, with the exception of dust on it, is clean!
Both cars have major differences in character. That long hood tremendously helps with forward vision because it allows for the A-Pillars to allow for a more sloped design over the first generation TLX. I'm 6'1" and I can tell you the forward vision is more obstructed in the 1st generation because the dashboard sits a little higher, feeling a bit claustrophobic in comparison.
I have the 4 cylinder turbo and it feels light as heck when you compare it to my 2019 V-6. I thought the front end would be a little too light compared to my 2019 but it's "weighted " steering at freeway speeds more than prove capable of handling at speeds well above posted rural interstate speed limits. I wanted the 2024 Type S but those vehicles are too hard to find. I've happily settled for the 2024 A-SPEC! It's Urban Gray over charcoal/black. when I purchased mine, it was the only one on the lot. And before that one arrived on the lot, the only one at the dealership was the pearl white over red/black. You don't see these cars on the road in Metro Detroit, so they stand out. I would never have purchased an Intergra over this vehicle. I had a 1996 Integra 2 door hatchback and it served me well (with 2 kids) but I had opportunity, I traded it for a new 2003 CL Type S with the 6 speed manual, of which I still drive today. that one has the best forward vision and peripheral vision of the 3. The back seat in my 2024 TLX has plenty of rear seat room, especially for a car that has a drive shaft and rear differential and is supposed to be a sport sedan, NOT a family sedan. Besides, my wife and I don't ride in the back seat....so we don't care. Otherwise, I'd a bought a Toyota Camry, or Honda Accord.
Also, Acura built this sedan from the ground up as all new. I wasn't a re-skinned generation one TLX nor an Accord. The 2nd gen TLX has a totally different front suspension. Acura returned the Double Wishbone suspension, the same as what ALL Acura & Hondas used to have before Honda went on a cost cutting binge and replaced those Formula One and IndyCar inspired suspensions with cheaper MacPherson Struts.
The TLX was designed for the enthusiast driver in mind and since about only 2% of drivers are enthusiasts drivers, this vehicle is not for everyone. The NSX is not for me. I can't afford it and I don't fit in it. If I could have, I would have; to including would have purchased it over a Corvette C8, of which I don't fit in either. So, I would have happily settled for a Camaro.
There are other sport sedans that are are "lighter" in weight and faster to 60 mph by a second. I don't care about that. Physics proves two things: 60 mph is 60 mph. there is no difference. And slow and steady wins race....of longevity. If you get places too fast too often, you're gonna miss some things. And I don't believe most drivers, even of spot sedans race other sport sedans on a daily basis. For one thing, too costly. I don't race. And non enthusiast drivers simply don't care about THOSE statistics. So when you folks out there arrive at the finish line faster than that of the TLX Type S, tell me: what prize did you receive? What was the monetary amount you received? Answer: A hefty bill for some summer tires and a wrecked front diffuser or worse.
Just because a person has power, does not mean the person can control it. Abuse of power and lack of respect for it will consume the user.
P.S: Get a set of driving gloves. You're gonna want them for this Type (S) of a car.

Acura used to be a value leader for technology and performance for the price, but at $64k you're well into the 3 series, C class, and S4 territory.

I'm glad that you said that. My 2019 TLX A-SPEC with SH-AWD is a blast to drive in manual "Sport Plus" mode, on the smooth state, twisty hill country highways in southwest Arkansas...risers, dips, sharp 80 degree curves with 15 degree banking...WoW! I also have a 2024 TLX A-SPEC. (It only now comes with SH-AWD.) So far, a very fun-to-drive car and quicker than one my think. I had it in Arkansas this past July but didn't get a chance to do much of any spirited driving on those aforementioned roadways and it doesn't have the separate sport plus mode like the current Type S or the first generation TLX equipped with the 3.5 liter V-6, but it does have a combination "D/S" (Drive mode but Sport mode on combination the transmission selector button. I think the button on the transmission is the same on the Type S but actually displays as "Sport Plus" on the dash board, just like the first generation V-6. The 4 cylinder doesn't at all sound throaty like either the 3.5 liter V-6 or the Turbo V-6. My wife's ILX with it's 2.4 liter sounds throatier than the 2.0 liter in my 2024 TLX. Whatever...All I know is that they're fun to drive!

Highly disagree on your assessment on the touchpad, I think it’s the best in the market. The thoughts on it is very polarizing but it took me 30 minutes to learn it. Pretend the touch pad is the screen, wherever the icon is on the screen, touch that location on the touch pad. Super easy and honestly super SAFE. You don’t have to look down, scroll your finger forever, etc…

Picked up my 25 two weeks ago. Same color black on black. I came from a 21 TLx tech and the dif is night and day. I always taught my 21 tlx was fast until I got my S lmao. It’s faster than fast for me, smooth, Loud/agressive af, and handling is amazing. Love it!

I own a facelifted one. Beautiful car. I love it. The 0-60 time is wrong. I regularly get under 4 seconds. Turns heads like no other. They’re very rare post 2024 as they are not producing many of them. I owned a pre facelift and the updates in the 24 really make the car alot better.

Road presence on this car with its wide back and those tail lights plus lit up headlights are a head turner. Any time of the day this car stands out. I really Hope Acura do not change the look or dimensions BEsides rear interior leg space ! I say this as a loyal Acura buyer

I own a 23 with the perf. Wheel and tire and sadly with me owning it for 9 months and a little over 2300 miles, I was looking to trade it in and get a 24 or rather a 25 at this point however I do not want to give up my y-spoke rims and I’d have to pay that much more to purchase those rims for the 25 because they will not take my rims and put them on the 25. Overall, I love the car. It’s a well rounded really fun sports cars and holds its value extremely well

I get about 355 miles on a full tank but with my 2019 TLX SH-AWD, the range is about 420 miles.

There is literally not one review of this car online with the optional ground effect and skirts package and it totally changes the look of the car. It literally needs them. No HUD in Canada is pathetic at this price too.

Can't wait for Acura BEVs. Honda knows how to control body roll, tweak the suspension set up and come up with great looking interior and exterior.

And best of all, SH-AWD likely going to make them winners.

The review is fantastic and contains a lot of details.

I dont care about heated steering wheels. But i agree for the price it should be included. I imagine that the people in cold climates who are buying this AWD drive monster, the dealerships are ordering them with that option. They probably know their market.

Nice ride; I think it's about $10k too expensive.

This is a great car but it's competing against some very compelling options at this price point. Safe bet it will be the most reliable sports sedan in the class, but I just think for that money there is more fun to be had.

Great video! I can’t wait for my 25 to come in. Ordered it in the exact same specs

love the car but biggest disappointment is they didnt follow the 2025 MDX and get rid of the touch pad and make it touchscreen. I really wish they had because I had planned to upgrade my 2021 TLX A Spec for a 2025 Type s seeing the same infotainment and touch pad doesnt make it seem worth the hassle. But great car overall
